Samsung’s just slipped us details of its brand new 8-megapixel ultra-phone. Packing everything the iPhone has, and more, is this the phone we’ve been waiting for?
Just like the iPhone, the i8510 comes in 8GB and 16GB flavours, with 3G and HSDPA for super-fast internet on the move, as well as Wi-Fi to latch on to wireless hotspots.
There’s GPS inside too, and a camera app that automatically geotags photos with the location they were snapped.
Running Symbian S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 means it’ll also play nice with the myriad applications available online, and unlike the iPhone, it’ll play back DivX, WMV and Real Player video files. There’s also support for MPEG4, and 3D surround sound too.
The only thing its missing is a touchscreen, but it does feature a slide-out keypad, which will no doubt please iPhone nay-sayers!
Did we mention it looks gorgeous too? Due out in August, we’ll be first in line.
