There’s no disputing that the Impulse NPX-9000 7in lappy is cheap. At $130 - that’s a mere £65 at current rates - it’s certainly inexpensive even when compared to the likes of the Asus Eee PC or MSI Wind. There is a catch, though.
Alibaba is billing it as the “World’s Cheapest Laptop” and given that we don’t have time to travel the globe, and they know how to use apostrophes correctly we’re inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt.
However, you’ll need to put in a minimum order of 50 units if you want to secure that price. The spec is pretty light too - 400MHz MIPS chip, 128MB memory, 1GB storage and Linux OS, but then what exactly were you expecting?
