Future Wii Classic Controller?

Soon after we’d heard about the possible ban on the Nintendo Wii’s Classic controller we saw this retro take on what we hope will one day be the new Classic controller.

Anascape Ltd has sued Nintendo, which faces a ban for breaking a patent with the Wii Classic controller, but if Wii fans want to look for a silver lining, this is it. It’s the Wii Classic controller, NES style.

Just looking at it has us fawning in dewy-eyed nostalgia. It’s perfect for recreating those days when we couldn’t get past the Hammer Bros. in Super Mario back in the 80’s.

OK it might not be real, but c’mon Ninty, when a concept looks this cool you just know it makes sense, don’t keep us waiting.
