Alphason Designs, has come up with a brand new range of AV furniture that can support your telly and lock up your noisy 360 and PS3 consoles behind glass doors.
The Adbri ABRD800 (pictured) and the larger ABRD1000 are a fusion of the British cabinet maker’s AD glass shelving range and its Ambri cabinets. The result is an AV stand that can support a TV of up to 50kg with a shelf for your Blu-ray player and a ventilated closable cabinet for your noisier components.
Alphason went to great legths to get the door mechanism just right and eventually plumped for a Japanese hinge that closes silently and can stay open at any angle. But given that the Xbox 360’s cooling fan sounds not unlike a Black Hawk helicopter taking off, we’d recommend keeping it closed.
