It’s lunchtime, so grab a sandwich and settle down for a recap of everything gadget-shaped you’ve missed this morning.
Word reaches us from the Far East this lunchtime, with the latest tittle tattle out of Apple’s iPhone labs that the touchscreen handset packs an always-on shutter sound in Japan. The reason? An epidemic of ‘up-skirt’ shots being taken by predatory phone-owners.
Having never attempted an up-skirt shot of our own, we’re not sure whether that noise is going to put determined pervs off. One thing we do know though, is that you can now jailbreak your iPhone 3G, and remove the sound altogether. Either that or place a thumb over the iPhone’s speaker grille.
Not enough juicy Apple news for you? You’re in luck. Steve Jobs says the company’s putting the finishing touches to a slew of “new products.”
What could they be? Our money is on a Mac Tablet, which we’ve heard will be coming in August.
