Olympic Robot team arrives

The human height quintet are the automaton versions of the games mascots and are set to roam Beijing airport welcoming visitors to the sporting spectacle.

Their diplomatic repertoire includes a dancing and singing routine to scare small children and possibly parents too with their bulky hulk shifting at speed, but if you can catch one that isn’t busting moves for a moment you’ll find them to be perfect hosts.

The “Fuwa” can communicate in 12 languages and are pre-programmed with an overkill of information about the airport (well the bots were built by the Civil aviation authority) and further facts about the rest of the city.

If you’re off to the games just hunt one of these strange looking Panda-like hybrids down and tinker around with the touch-screen its midriff.
