It’s lunchtime, so grab a sandwich and settle down for a recap of everything gadget-shaped you’ve missed this morning.
Apple’s iPhone 3G is still making waves. Aside from increasing reports that its software is still buggy, it’s attracted the attention of hackers who finally broke into the phone last week, and released the tools for everyone else to do the same today.
The iPhone Dev Team’s PwnageTool software lets iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPod touch owners run unauthorised software on their handhelds, as well as unlocking Apple’s phone to work with any network.
Owners worrying about the iPhone 3G’s battery life also have good news this morning: the first power-booster for Apple’s handset. Created by iPhoneck, it’s a clip-on accessory that’ll re-charge the handset in under two hours, as well as resurrecting it should the phone should it conk out on the road.
