Hot on the heels of the PlayStation 3′s trophy-awarding firmware update, there’s a rumour the PSP will be getting the same treatment. Makes perfect sense to us, and there’s some professional weight behind it too.
During an interview with Gamespot, Buzz! Master Quiz, producer Emerson Escobar said: “We’ve implemented a new medal system for bronze, silver, and gold. You basically have to get bronze to move onto the next batch of questions,”
Sounds pretty cool so far, then he drops the bomb: “We’ve also implemented a trophy system. Let’s say you answer a question within one second, you get a lightning finger trophy. If you answer a question within half a second, you get a supersonic trophy.”
It all sounds too similar to the PS3′s trophy system to be a coincidence. Escobar even mentions at one point that he might’ve said too much. Is the cat out of the bag? We’ll let you know more as soon as we hear it.
