Remember the super slim Voodoo Envy 133 that was announced early last month? Laptop Mag has managed to snag a pre-production unit and put together a short video of its quick start operating system.
Hit the on button you’ll be presented with the Voodoo IOS (Instant On Solution) screen in about 5 seconds. It’s actually a custom, lightweight version of Linux with a number of apps pre-loaded – like a web browser based on Firefox 2 and Skype client. Navigate to the browser, for example, and you can be surfing away in another 10 seconds – compare that to waiting for Vista to stop huffing and puffing as it loads.
