Xbox: now with Netflix inside!Microsoft’s serious about making the Xbox 360 the centre of your cinematic life. It’s signed a deal with Netflix to bring over 10,000 films and tons TV shows to the console.

Initially, it’ll only apply in the US, and to use it you’ll need to be an Xbox Live member, as well as hold a Netflix Gold membership, but it’ll bring oodles more streaming movies to the platform, in addition to Xbox Live Video Marketplace’s own downloadable titles.

John Schappert, corporate vice president of Interactive Entertainment LIVE, Software and Services Business at Microsoft has been crowing about the deal, stating: “We are creating a completely new social entertainment experience, and Xbox 360 will be the only video game system where you can access your library of instantly streamable movies from Netflix and turn any room into a virtual movie theater.”

To watch Netflix movies on the console, you’ll simply have to log in to the Netflix website, add your movie and TV choices to an “instant queue” and then hop back to the Xbox to seem them streamed instantly. Sounds pretty fancy, now bring it to the UK!
