Finding Linux a little, well, weird and XP oh so outdated? Well luckily JKKMobile is back! And this time he’s put Vista on an Eee PC 901 and filmed it all for your video delight.
It’s pretty easy to get it all up and running. Apart from the graphics and touchpad, all the drivers came directly from the Asus support site. You’ll need to grab the latest 945 Express driver from Intel to get Aero working and the touchpad driver is necessary if you want to be able to use multitouch.
Performance wise it seems pretty snappy - even with a few apps running it’s quite responsive. According to Vista’s own internal benchmarks it scores 2.7 - not bad for a machine that was never designed with Vista in mind.
