Not content with coaxing an Eee PC 901 into running Vista, JKKMobile has now turned his attention to its insides and bumped up its onboard storage by shoehorning in an extra hard drive. All on video, of course. Ace.
There’s a space inside that almost looks like it’s meant to house a 1.8in hard drive and a spare connector to hook it up to. You do need to remove one of the SSD modules, but you’ll get acres more storage in the process so you’re not exactly losing out.
In the example you’ll see a 30GB model going in, but you could add anything up to 80GB. Alternatively you could go for a CF card adapter instead, but you might lose the ability to boot from the other internal drive if you do. Here’s the video goodness:
