Over at the Farnborough airshow this week one UK company has landed a multi-million manufacturing contract to ensure planes of tomorrow are built at high speed.
Kuka Automation of Halesowen is now part of a $200mn project to get aircraft components put together at a speed only known before by humans overdone on energy drinks.
Gary Taylor, Kuka’s aerospace sales manager and NGCW programme manager, says: “Kuka is looking forward to developing and sharing its expertise in this substantial project, which will not only bring benefits for the aerospace industry, but will further secure and enhance Britain’s reputation as a centre of manufacturing excellence.
More from the airshow later this week.
