Soon the frustration of the Xbox 360’s load times and aircraft-grade whirring noises will be over: Microsoft has revealed it’ll let gamers install whole titles onto their consoles’ hard drives.
Xbox Live head honcho Marc Whitten revealed the news through the Major Nelson blog, claiming it’ll shave precious seconds from load-times and reduce the noise created by the console’s DVD drive.
Unfortunately, you’ll still need the game disc in the machine, so Microsoft knows you’re not copying friends games, but you should still see a big performance jump.
