The Japanese company has already shown us the Dream FX robotic pet and exposed our soft centres and now they are adding to their cute line-up of no-mess pets with “Uchi no Suupa Doggu Sakadachi Rakki” or My Super Stand-up-and-beg Dog Lucky.
Such a strange and “length of a Welsh railway station” name can’t be faulted, its a near full instruction manual in a title, a work of genius in itself.
The skillset of the voice powered pooch is the recognition and reaction to 13 phrases including sit and beg as expected but one which starts Lucky singing, a nation never to miss a karaoke opportunity.
During the development of the voice recognition system Sega brought in 100 kids to submit samples for the software which has accounted for a marked improvement in performance we’re told, so quieter kids, mumblers and those with mouthfuls of sweets can boss the dog.
Undeniably cute and aimed at 4-8 year-olds, say sayonara to $86 parents.
