No motion action for KazooieIt looks like the Xbox 360 won’t be getting motion-sensing controls, for now. A video of the new Banjo Kazooie title got our hearts in a flutter yesterday, but Microsoft says it’s not to be.

It all started when Microsoft creative director, Ken Lobb mischievously quipped: “So you basically grab with the wrench and then you twist the controller around and it’ll move different things in the game.”

We were instantly whipped into a frenzy of anticipation, But the big M later denied Wii style controls would be hitting Xbox 360.

“There is no truth to this speculation. Ken’s comment is in reference to rotating the left analog stick while hitting the X-button to move different things in the game.” Microsoft said.

Spoilsports. Still, we’re taking this with a pinch of salt; you’ll notice the statement doesn’t say there won’t be in the future.

Surely this isn’t the last we’ll hear of the rumours. E3 can’t come soon enough.
