UPDATE: Microsoft’s denying the new Banjo Kazooie will feature motion controls. But hasn’t ruled them out completely. Read more here.
Here’s proof the Xbox 360 will be getting motion sensing added to its skills: In a developer video for Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, one of Microsoft’s creative directors clearly implies motion style controls.
Just as we were going to bring you more news of the much awaited title from Rare, Microsoft Game Studios creative director, Ken Lobb, dropped the bombshell:
“So you basically grab with the wrench and then you twist the controller around and it’ll move different things in the game.”
Say what? If this is what it sounds like, Xbox 360 is a shoe-in for Wii style controls. Check out the video below to hear those magic words for yourself.
If other rumours surrounding motion controls for the PS3 are true it looks like both Sony and Microsoft will be looking to muscle in on the Wii’s territory, not to mention PC’s.Is it a clever strategy from both Sony and the big M, or a shameless case of copycat tactics?
