Questions still hang over iPhone 3G deliveriesHoping to get your iPhone 3G in the post tomorrow? You’re not alone. We’ve had disturbing feedback from readers who’ve been told varying delivery times for their handsets. Read on to see how iPhone confusion is continuing to swirl.

Reader Andy H got the same treatment as we did when calling O2 customer services, and was told not to expect his iPhone tomorrow.

Responding to O2’s assertions that most UK residents would get their phones on time, he said: “I live in Skipton, North Yorkshire – that’s many hundreds of miles from Aberdeen! I’ve been told I won’t get my iPhone tomorrow and not given a date as to when I will get it.”

A similar tale of woe comes from Electricpig reader Scottishorcas, who says: “After several attempts to pre-order on Monday I eventually got a message on screen saying ‘Thank you for your order…’ To me this means I was successful in pre-ordering. However, I contacted O2 via their website asking if this was the case and got a reply saying they could not tell me at the moment.

“[I was told] I would get a text or e-mail confirming if my order was processed no later than the afternoon of Wed 9 July. Well it is now 17:30 on said afternoon and I’ve heard nothing… Guess I will be queuing like everyone else on Friday! Very disappointed with O2’s service.”

O2 isn’t alone in rankling its customers though, The Carphone Warehouse also confused our reader Macdonaldal with its mixed messages: “Carphone Warehouse customer services have told me that my preorder of an iPhone 3G will arrive Monday,” he explains. “Whilst an order email says ‘We are happy to tell you that stock of the item that you ordered has now arrived and we have processed your order. It will shortly be dispatched from our warehouse.’ Who knows what will happen there.”

O2’s own customer service forums are also buzzing with uncertainty. One poster, Woz, even claims to have received an e-mail stating the iPhone he was expecting on Friday could now be delayed by five days.
