Grass ScannerThe grass is always greener on the other side of the fence – or so they say. Grass Scanner can tell you for certain, right down to the exact Pantone code.

A prototype of the Grass Scanner has been designed by Alice Wang for gardeners who want to achieve the ideal shade of green in their lawn. It works by taking three measurements at a time and comparing the average reading to a green Pantone colour chart. You can then compare your code to those of other parks around the UK on the ‘Parktone’ chart. Exactly why this is better than simply looking directly at the colour chart isn’t clear, but we love the lime green suit and it’s certainly a strong contender for our ‘most pointless gadget of the year’ competition.
