Google’s just launched its own social networking virtual world, a bit like second life, but without all the creepy undertones.
Dubbed Lively, it’ll let you create your own room (just like PlayStation Home), place gaudy furniture and decorations around (just like The Sims) and chat with friends in a virtual world (just like Second Life).
It’s still in the beta testing phase at the moment, while Google works the kinks out, but already it’s looking pretty good. Take a peek at the video below.

Second Life has so much more to offer, with characters that can be much more realistic (or not if you want). I don’t see this giving people the opportunity to live their dreams.
