If you’re waiting for the iPhone 3G to become available on pre-paid tariffs, you might have a few more months to kill. O2 says the next-gen handset won’t be available for Pay As You Go customers until much later this year.
In a small change to its iPhone pages today, O2’s online store revealed “iPhone 3G for Pay & Go will be available later this year,” dashing hopes of spendthrift Apple fans everywhere.
It’s no surprise though, with the contract version guaranteeing income for upwards of 18 months, it’s understandable that O2’s pushing contract business harder than PAYG.
