If you don’t fancy going down the DIY route and fashioning your own internal 3G hardware Asus has confirmed that it will have an official 3G Eee PC available before the year’s out.
According to PC World, 3G enabled Eee PCs could be available in Euroland as early as September. It’s likely that Asus will include not just the download friendly HSDPA but also team it up with HSUPA for a faster up pipe as well.
Asus is also looking at selling 3G Eee PCs through mobile networks, which will subsidise the hardware so you’ll be able to get them for next to nothing if you sign up for a contract.
