Whether you’re holidaying in the middle of nowhere, watching Richard and Judy in the garden, or bringing entertainment to third world countries, Sharp has the answer with its solar-powered TV.
The prototype is so energy efficient it can be powered from a single solar panel, despite its screen measuring a whopping 26 inches.
Underneath its shell is a super-efficient LCD, that uses just 25% of the power a conventional CRT telly would consume.
Sharp says it’ll contribute to developing countries, where mains electricity is sometimes scarce, but we reckon it could also cut our electric bills, as well as let us watch Neighbours from the comfort of the local park!
