We’ll soon be seeing lots of head banging down our streets if early sales of Guitar Hero: On Tour is anything to go by. The DS musical-em-up has set a new company sales record for North America, selling 300,000 in its first week.
Thanks to a flurry of wannabe rockers-on-the-go, the game has shot into Activision’s top five best-selling launch titles in the firm’s history.
“Guitar Hero is one of the most successful entertainment properties and continues to push the boundaries of innovation with Guitar Hero: On Tour,” said Mike Griffith, president and CEO, Activision Publishing.
And we’re sure the tuneful bundle of joy will catch on just as well here. Maybe we can get some practice in before the after-work console Guitar Hero session.
Out 18 July | £39.99 (including Guitar Grip) | Activision| (via GamesIndustry.biz)
