With its real wood finish, this looks like one of Tivoli Audio’s classic FM fuzzboxes. In fact the NetWork global radio is not so retro, streaming thousands of Internet stations over wi-fi.
Tivoli actually has quite a range of iPod-friendly, web-savvy radios now, but for us, the NetWorks global radio combines the best of its old-school analogue looks with modern hi-tech. The digital display and the name give away the fact that NetWork can stream thousands of Internet radio stations from either its Ethernet port or via wi-fi. No computer is needed, just a broadband connection to get access to all of the regular DAB and FM stations you will have heard of plus a vast choice of obscure online stations from around the world that you haven’t. Not only that, but it has a USB connection for accessing MP3s, alarm clock features and it’s upgradeable with another matching speaker and a subwoofer. Walnut and Wenge finishes are also available in addition to the Cherry pictured here.
