Aside from the power on/off switch, there are no buttons on the potentially brilliant Licentia concept remote. Instead, you twist and turn your way through your TV’s controls.
Think how many buttons there are on the average remote control and compare it to the Licentia zapper by Jason Kline. It’s still just a prototype, but he’s managed to whittle it down to just one by using a combination of squeezing, twisting and spinning motions to navigate your TV’s operating system. If it’s successful, it could also be applied to any on screen menu system and one day replace the flat button boards that we’ve come accustomed to. It looks just as likely to loose itself between the cusions of the sofa though.
