Mixing up your recycle rubbish can really screw things up at the other end of the chain, but if you scan it first on the Barcode Trashcan, the correct bin will automatically open up.
It does seem a little unnecessary as the symbols on each bin look fairly self-explanatory to us, but for anyone that’s unsure, or who just loves to scan things, it’s a foolproof system and puts an end to the tiresome sorting job at the messy end of the recycling process. The design itself, by Woo Seok Park, looks like it comes straight out of 2001: A space Odyssey.
