Australia cuts Xbox 360 price

Upgrade rumours still persistThe rumours that Xbox 360 will be getting an upgrade have been given further fuel with news that Austraila will be chopping its price by $50 to $349.

That officially makes Xbox 360 the cheapest console the cheapest in the Aussie market, overtaking the Wii ($399) in the bargain stakes.

So can we expect an Xbox 360 price cut everywhere else? Australian Microsoft rep Jeremy Hinton said:

“Today we’re only announcing Australia and New Zealand and what you will see is that certainly over the next 12 months that price drops and price activity will not happen globally. We’ve been given more authority to do what’s best for the Australian consumer.”

Maybe so, but that leaked ad yesterday suggested different. Keep it here for more Xbox price updates as they happen.
