The countdown has begun. The boffins at the Digital Radio Working Group say FM radio will be up for replacement in just over a decade.
If we’re honest, we expected DAB to take over from FM a lot sooner. Radios are smaller and cheaper than ever before, so 2020 seems a long way off.
Still, the UK’s stuck at 90% coverage at the moment, and there’s still a sluggish take-off of DAB radios in cars.
