The British company that’s come up with the self-powered PA suitcase set out to design luggage that wouldn’t strain your back with the twisting and pulling action that so often causes injury. Independently motorized wheels and a yoke that balances 86% of the weight for you should do the trick. The PA case makes a 30kg load feel more like 3kg and with motors that work only when it feels you trying to move in that direction, it’s much more manoeuvrable too.
The batteries last about 2 hours and recharge themselves like a Toyota Prius. It’s hard to ignore that price tag though. An actual PA, a strong one of course, might not cost much more.
