Noise-cancelling technology’s already a staple on-board airplanes, is creeping into cars, and now Sennheiser’s giving it a life at sea too!
See, Sennheiser’s noise-cancelling kit now has a permanent home on Earthrace, a 78-foot trimaran, which will attempt to break the round the world record of 75 days this Friday.
Inside the boat, which runs exclusively on biodiesel and has a net carbon footprint of zero, it’s incredibly noisy, so Sennheiser is supporting the record attempt with professional-grade PXC 450 NoiseGard headphones and HMEC 450 NoiseGard communications headsets.
It’s Sennheiser’s experience that’ll really count at sea though, since the company has been creating noise-deadening kit since 1987.
“We’re delighted Sennheiser is supporting us,” said Earthrace Captain Pete Bethune. “This project wouldn’t have been able to happen without their
support”
