Rumours swirl over Motorola’s 8 megapixel super-phone

Sony Ericsson’s only just shown off its 8 megapixel camera phone, and already the competition is hotting up. The latest rumours suggest Motorola’s got a new flagship phone in the works packing, yep you guessed it: an 8 megapixel camera.

Reportedly dubbed the “Alexanda” it’s been unearthed by the tech bloodhounds at T3, who claim it’ll cram in an 8 meg peeper, “a kick ass gaming chip”, GPS and touchscreen abilities.

Sounds like enough to topple Sony Ericsson before the C905 is even out of the gates. Unfortunately, word is we’ll have to wait until October to get a close-up look at it.
