Morphy Richards has been hanging out in Italian coffee shops in its quest for the ultimate mean bean machine. Momento is the result and it can turn fresh beans into rich coffee juice with just one stroke of its digital display.
Like the equally stylish De’Longhi Perfecta the central brewing unit, borrowed from Italy, grinds a handful of beans into a pod which is then moistened to loosen the flavour before hot water is pumped through at 18 bars of pressure to produce an intensive crema-topped coffee.
Morphy has added a slick control panel to the stainless steel machine that lets us choose our favourite style just as if we’re in Starbucks and with the memory function, you can create that perfect frothy café macchiato-with-everything in one press.
