MSI Wind release date drifts

MSI’s slim Eee PC-a-likeMSI’s little Eee PC exterminator was originally meant to tip up sometime this week but it looks like it’s been pushed back by at least a couple of weeks.

The slim ten-incher was expected to hit the States yesterday and Expansys had it pegged for a 21 June launch date in the UK.

The MSI online shop is now predicting it will ship on 27 June while Expansys has wound back the date all the way to 19 July – that’s over a month away. Bah.

The US version is now a bit cheaper, but that looks to be because it will initially be shipping with only a three cell battery, not the longer life six cell unit. Other specs look the same, so you’ll still get a 1.6GHz Atom chip, 1GB of memory and a choice of Linux or Windows XP.

Out TBC. Again. | from £320
