Opus Technologies will sell you a whole smart house solution complete with in-wall speakers, multichannel audio and video and all the necessary tech for a fully automated pad if you so wish. And it’s all controlled by a brand new keypad that sinks into the wall in place of a light switch.
Hard buttons give you immediate control of the lights and volume in that room, but the rest is accessed by a full colour LCD screen with a touch-sensitive menu. You can customise this yourself by connecting a laptop and dragging new icons that mach your kit into the simple software. Then you can simply touch the icon for the security camera, for example, and watch a live feed of your front door. It’s remote controllable too, giving you IR control over all your other remote controllable devices. The possibilities are endless, but this clever control panel will always keep you in command of your kit.
