Here’s a novel way to get back to basics, using found objects for much the same purpose, but a whole heap more environmentally-friendly. It’s a limited-edition run of 66, and each set comes with two of the oil lamps, and a magnetic base which they sit upon.
The best thing is though, you could probably do it yourself, using a light bulb, a neodymium magnet and paraffin oil. The price set by designer Sergio Silva is a ludicrous $650, however it’d be fairly risky doing it yourself, unless of course your home insurance provider pays out on accidental fire damage. In that case, make a hundred of these candles!
