Forget Grand Theft Auto Vice City, or even GTA 4. The latest web mashup lets you drive around any city you like using the power of Google Maps.
It’s completely pointless, but still very cool. Created by Japanese developer Geoquake, it’s a demonstration of how web technologies can be brought together.
You can choose from a variety of vehicles, including a car, lorry and bus, before tearing around the city of your choice.
There are even buttons to activate your vehicle’s indicators, but since other road users are stationary, there’s not much point. Check it out here. It’s a lot of fun, if a little lacking in crash-bang action.
