Apple’s Australian website just posted a release date for the iPhone and iPod touch’s App Store. Looks like it could be coming earlier than anyone thought.
According to the official iPod touch features page, the App Store will go live on June 27th. That’s earlier than the vague date of “early July” given during Steve Jobs’ keynote on Monday.
With any luck, that’ll also be the date the first iPhone 3G handsets start rolling out, or at the very least, when owners of the first generation iPhones get their brand new software.
Stay tuned, we’ll bring you more news on the App Store as soon as we hear it. In the meantime, why not check out our iPhone app wishlist, and add a few of your own!
