While Apple was busy showing off the iPhone 3G, Voodoo snuck in and stole the Macbook Air’s thinnest laptop crown with its pancake pestering Envy 133.
It may not look it from the pics, but at 0.7in thick the Envy is 0.06in thinner than the Macbook Air at its fattest point. While it’s light on the inches, it’s considerably heavier on the bank balance, starting at a wallet frightening $2,099.
That does get you a 13.3in LED backlit screen wrapped up in a protective carbon fibre case. Processor options run to either a 1.6GHz or 1.8GHz Core 2 Duo chip and you can have a 64GB solid state hard drive or 80GB spinner.
It’s also got a couple of nifty tricks up its sleeve - like the Wi-Fi router built into the power brick, so you can turn a wired hotel ethernet link instantly into a wireless hotspot, and the quick start Voodoo IOS (Instant On Solution) OS that gives you access to Firefox and Skype in seconds.
