Want a 3G iPhone? Then you’ll need to cast an eye over O2’s brand new 3G tariffs. Even better, if you pay enough per month, you’ll get a 3G iPhone for free.
On sale from July 11, O2 says current iPhone owners will be able to upgrade to the new 3G handset.
As expected, the 8GB model will cost just £99 on a new £30 per month tariff. Opt for a £45 or £75 per month tariff and you’ll get the handset for free.
The 16GB iPhone 3G will cost £159 on O2’s £30 and £35 tariffs, £59 on the £45 tariff and it will be free on the £75 tariff.
All tariffs will continue to receive unlimited data use on O2’s HSDPA-enabled 3G network, as well as through The Cloud and BT Openzone Wi-Fi hotspots.
O2’s £30 monthly tariff includes 75 free minutes and 125 texts, while the £35 per month tariff gives a much more generous 600 minutes and 500 texts.
Pay $45 a month, and on top of your free 8GB iPhone (or £59 16GB iPhone) you’ll get 1200 minutes and 500 texts.
Feeling flush? Then fork out £75 a month to get either an 8GB or 16GB 3G iPhone for free (wonder which you’ll choose?!) as well as 3000 minutes and 500 texts.
Not a fan of monthly phone bills? O2 says both the 8GB and 16GB iPhone 3G will also be available for Pay & Go customers, although we’ll have to wait a couple of weeks for availability and pricing.
