As Apple rumours go, this one is a bit last minute, but could be the real deal. The latest claim is that Jobs and Co will unveil a brand new budget Mac aimed at developers, and designed to get more apps made for the Apple OS.
Dubbed the Mac Fusion, the blur-tastic screenshots sent to TUAW show a tiny Mac designed to run OS X as well as other operating systems such as Windows or Linux.
It’s claimed it’ll help developers “explore the power and stability of OS X while keeping the ability to run alternate operating systems.”
Our call? It’s a straight-up fake. What this essentially represents is a slimmed down Mac Mini, touting the ability to “run Windows under Boot Camp” that every other Intel-based Mac can already boast.
Nice try, but we’re still holding out for a 3G iPhone, new OS X and a few tasty mobile apps.
