Still lusting after that mysterious BlackBerry Thunder phone? We’ve got new details for you, thanks to the first real-world shot of the next-gen e-mailer.
Uncovered by the Boy Genius Report, the new phone is shown with loads of buttons, allaying fears that it’d be a solely touchscreen affair.
Up front there’re menu, back and call answer or reject keys, as well as convenience keys on both sides, a lock key at the top and a play/pause shortcut key too.
It’s a far cry from the iPhone’s button phobic design, and could be just the thing to put touchscreen mobiles into the hands of business types. But we reckon one thing’s still lacking: a scroll wheel.
The touchscreen might let us swipe through long messages, but that’ll still require two hands. We’re not sure that’ll go down too well with city types, rushing to meetings and reading e-mails on the go. We need our other hand to hail taxis you know!
