We’re still not 100% convinced these images are real, but they’re the most plausible yet.
Unearthed by the Apple fans at CrunchGear, they show a squarer design, which is slimmer, and packs an all-important front-facing camera for video chat.
The new iPhone will reportedly allow video chat with other iPhone owners using 3G networks, or iChat users using Wi-Fi.
But the real kicker? CrunchGear suspects Apple’s about to release iChat for Windows too, since the promo material they’ve seen lists XP or Vista in its minimum spec. That ties in with reports of .Mac rebranding Apple Me, and launching with Windows support too.
As we’d previously heard, the new iPhone looks like it’ll be available in red too, although there’s no sign of the silver version we’d also heard about.
Are they real? It looks that way, but as usual, we won’t know anything for sure until Monday.
