We’ve had a spot of MSI Wind, gone gooey over the Eee PC, and even sharpened our credit card over the RazorBook, but soon there’ll be another tiny laptop crying out for our attention, and weirdly, it’ll be made by Nvidia.
Best known for their graphics cards, Nvidia has been busy broadening its range of chips, showing off two new Tegra processors designed for titchy laptops.
The new chips use tiny amounts of power, but can still browse the web, handle graphically-intense games, and even kick out high definition video.
Nvidia’s currently showing off the chips at the Computex show in Taiwan, wowing attendees with their all-in-one Arm 11 chip, graphics unit, media handler, system memory and peripheral controllers.
The company expects computers sporting the hardware to cost around $200. That’s just £100, and is even cheaper than Asus’s latest budget offering!
