The movie industry is about to go game crazy! We already know of Capcom’s plans for a ton of new films, and now rumour has it Bruce Willis is negotiating to star in the Kane and Lynch movie.
The Die Hard veteran will be playing the more sane of the film’s two protagonists: Adam ‘Kane’ Marcus, a mercenary who pairs up with schizophrenic killer James Lynch.
The game saw Kane forced into a mission with the personality-challenged Lynch in order to save his family from a notorious gang.
Little is known about the film’s story, except that Kane and Lynch are out to retrieve a stolen microchip.
The brutal flick will be directed for Lionsgate by Simon Crane, who makes his feature film directing debut after being a stunt coordinator on Troy and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
It won’t be the first time an Eidos title will be coming to the big screen. Hit Man earlier racked up $100 million for 20th Century Fox.
With good ol’ Brucey on the cards, this is the first time we’ve ever looked forward to a video game film. Fingers crossed.
