Roger Waters must be looking forward to washing Pink Floyd’s pants in the black edition of Indesit’s planetary washing machine. The hugely popular Blue Moon will be joined by a moody black and grey version in September.
It looks like designer tech at its most ostentatious, but the Moon is in fact an entry-level washer from budget brand Indesit and aimed squarely at student digs. Italian designer Giugiaro is the creative genius behind the refreshingly simple design, but equally appealing is the unique self-cleaning detergent dispenser.
Ingeniously, the soap drawer is on the inside of the door, which means it gets to the heart of the wash faster, delivering 50% more cleaning power apparently. It’s amazing nobody else thought of it before.
