Tinkering with robots in exchange for cash is every young boy’s dream, and now there’s a trio of new Bi-Pedal robots ready to get kids learning early! KumoTek are the creators, and P.E.T.S. (Robots Promoting Education Through Science) are their name.
The 13.5 inch humanoids can be supplied fully-built, or in kit form, and when complete can be controlled by a kid-friendly joypad remote, or with more intricate programming by a computer.
Don’t worry about wading through code straight away though. There’re enough walking and dancing moves in the robots’ pre-programmed arsenal to keep budding roboteers amused for hours. When you tire of them, however, There’s much more detailed movement to be had with a bit of programming.
An on-board memory lets you store your moves, and there’s a built-in speaker to play back digital audio files too. That’s on top of a twisting torso and the customary flashing face lights. Good clean fun, and educational too!
