The Vario IV complete with QWERTY keypadT-Mobile just took the wrappers off its latest smartphones, opting for the softly softly approach rather than screaming about them. But that doesn’t mean they’re demure machines. They’re powerful, stylish and built for speed.

First up is the Vario IV, boasting a full slide-out QWERTY keypad and VGA touchscreen, capable of displaying in portrait and landscape modes.

Also chucked in is HSDPA, WiFi and Bluetooth, along with 256MB RAM. It also touts a microSD slot, FM tuner and 3.2 megapixel snapper, with a second VGA lens for video calls.

It also has a GPS receiver and will use the all-new Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system.

Chat fiends will be delighted with 300 minutes talk time and a marathon 320 hours of standby.

Next we have the HTC-made MDA compact IV, with a 3D interface, HSDPA, 3.2 megapixel camera and 4GB of internal flash storage.

Last but not least is the monsterous Ameo 16 GB, also packing a folding QWERTY keyboard for easy messaging and running Windows Mobile 6.1. As you’ve probably guessed from its name, this particular moby comes stuffed with 16GB of memory.

There’s no official word on release dates yet, but expect the Ameo to be hitting around July.
