This poor little Gateway M151X Arctic Bloom isn’t badly specced, with its Core 2 Duo chip, 2GB of RAM, 15.4in screen and 250GB hard drive. Throw in some WiFi, a bit of Bluetooth, Radeon HD 2400 XT graphics and HDMI and you’ve got yourself a smart little machine.

Then just look at it. You might learn to love the daisy decked lid – mostly because you won’t be the one staring at it while you’re using it – but that design creeps round onto the wrist rests too so there’s no escaping its floral features.
