Nokia’s N-Gage has the potential to transform mobile gaming into console-quality thumb-twiddling for the masses. But Nok users have found that purchased games become unplayable when switching handsets. Whoops!
Rather than being synced with mobile fiddlers’ user accounts, it appears they’re locked to the phone itself, preventing use when switching to an upgraded model.
Nokia is a smooth operator so we can expect the problem to be nothing more than a minor niggle with the service.
What we’d like to see is the option to free our library of games from an old handset, before flinging them to our shiny new N-Gage handsets in future. The near future. Like, this week.
Come on Nok, you know it makes sense.
